성균관대학교 학칙 제51조(학위수여)에 의거,
석박사통합과정 포기를 희망하는 석박사통합과정생은 기한 내 GLS를 통해 신청하시기 바랍니다.

1. 신청자격: 본교 석박사통합과정 재학생 또는 수료생으로 석박사통합과정 이수를 포기하고 석사학위를 취득하고자 하는 학생
※ 석박사통합과정을 포기한다고 해서 학위과정이 석사로 변경되는 것은 아님.
※ 석박사통합과정 이수포기 후 석사학위 수여 기준을 충족하는 경우 석사학위 취득 가능
※ 석박사통합과정 이수포기 후 석사학위를 취득한 경우 동일학위과정으로의 재입학 불가
※ 석박사통합과정 포기자는 석사 수료요건 충족 시 다음학기(2024-2학기)에 미등록제적 조치되며 
석박사통합과정 포기생은 석사과정생은 아니기에 석사 수료증명서 발급 불가
ex) 
①2024.1학기에 석박통합포기 후 2024.1학기에 석사 수료요건 충족시 2024.2학기에 미등록제적
②2024.1학기에 석박통합포기 후 2024.2학기에 석사 수료요건 충족시 2025.1학기에 미등록제적
③2023.2학기에 석사과정 수료요건을 갖추었으나 2024.1학기에 등록 후 석박사통합과정을 포기할 시
해당 학생은 2024.2학기에 미등록제적

2. 신청기간 : 3.4.(월) 09:00 ~ 3.8.(금) 23:00
※ 학사일정상 3.7.(목)까지이나 추가등록기간이 3.8.(금)까지임에 따라 신청기간을 연장함
※ 2024학년도 1학기 등록금을 납부한 이후부터 신청 가능함

3. 신청방법 : GLS>신청/자격관리>석박사통합과정이수포기신청
※ GLS 신청 시, 학과장/지도교수 확인서에 서명을 받아 업로드 하여야 함(붙임 양식 참조)
※ 학교에 방문하여 학과장/지도교수의 서명을 받기 어려운 경우, 학과장/지도교수가 이수포기 신청을 확인했다는 내용의 이메일을 캡쳐하여 첨부파일에 업로드 가능

4. 유의사항: 외국인유학생이 석박통합과정을 포기할 경우, 석사과정 수료학기인 4개학기와 수료학점을 이수한 시점에 학생은 "미등록제적"처리 됩니다. 

그러므로 4학기 종료 후 미등록제적된시점부터 더이상 한국에 머무를 수 없고, 비자연장도 불가능합니다. 따라서, 4학기 종료 이후 바로 한국을 출국해야하며, 

출국 후 온라인으로 교수님으로부터 논문지도를 받고 논문본심을 진행하셔야합니다. 추후 석사학위논문을 제출한다면 석사 학위 수여는 가능합니다. 

5. 기타 문의사항은 학사콜센터(1811-8585) 또는 소속대학 행정실로 문의하시기 바랍니다.

◆ Application for Early Completion of Combined Master/Ph.D.

Combined Student who are expectant early completions of the coursework have to apply through the GLS system.

1. What is this for?

① Students who fulfilled credits required for completion of the Combined Master/Ph.D. Program within 6 or 7 semesters can shorten 

    their study time by 2 or 1 semesters respectively.

② With the application for the early completion, those who will have satisfied all the credits for the program within 2023 Fall semester goes to the 

    course completion/research registration status and they are not paying tuition for taking courses but paying for the research.

③ If an applicant for early completion does not fulfill the requirements, they will fail the early completion and be subject to the same 

    completion requirements as other students.

2. To whom: Combined(Master/Ph.D.) Student who can satisfy all of the completion credits at the 2023 Fall semester.

                  ※ Required credits include ‘thesis writing and research ethics’

3. Apply Period: Mar 4, 9:00am ~ Mar 8, 23:00pm, 2024

③ Click "Apply" after checking your application

■ Application for Withdrawal of Combined Master/Ph.D.

Combined Student who want to Withdrawal the Combined Master/Ph.D. have to apply through the GLS system.

1. To whom: Combined student who want to Withdrawal the Ph.D.

2. Apply Period: Mar 4, 9:00am ~ Mar 8, 23:00pm, 2024

3. How to Apply

① Download attached form

② Get the signature from Advisor and Chair of department on the completed form

③ Login kingo by Korean

④ GLS>Application/Graduation Requirements Management>석박사통합과정>Combined Master and Ph.D Program Abandonment of Completion

⑤ Upload application form and Checking your application

⑥ Click "Apply" after upload the Confirmation form

※ However, if it is difficult to directly obtain a signature from the advisor and the chair of department, you can upload an e-mail that the advisor 

   and the chair of department confirming the waiver of combined degree.

4. Note

Students who withdrawal of the combined Master's and Ph.D. will be "Dismissal (Disenrollment)” when registration for the 4th semester and 

required credits are completed.

Also, if you are "Dismissal (Disenrollment)” after the end of the 4th semester, you will not be able to stay in Korea any longer and 

you will not be able to extend your visa.

Therefore, you must leave Korea immediately after the end of the 4th semester, and after leaving the Korea, the thesis advising and 

defense must be conducted online.
